The customer service manager at The Terrell Record believes that it has been a bit too quiet around here lately. And that, of course, is right. I've thought of several things to post and simply haven't made time to do it. I did sit down on Saturday morning and hammer out a nice little post which was promptly eaten by Blogger....I'm thinking of submitting a potential slogan for the Blogger company, "You get what you pay for."
There's plenty happening for me these days. There are still some loose ends on my new home that the builder is responsible for squaring away. The house is far enough along that we felt good opening the door for guests recently. Several families from church joined us on Thursday as we hosted our local Justice of the Peace and his wife for the evening. We enjoyed good fellowship with them and look forward to further opportunities to become better acquainted.
Then, the highly anticipated visit of the renowned Jim Bob Howard and his family came to fruition. And for any of you that weren't sure whether or not he has a beard, I have confirmed with my own eyes that he is indeed bearded. They stayed Saturday night and worshipped with us on the Lord's Day at Christ Church, before heading on toward the St Peter community. Their stay with us was quite a treat. (If you need something from the Highlands Study Center, let me know. I know a guy.)
