Catholicity

We were away from home this past weekend and so worshipped with another church in the town we were visiting. This was my "hometown" and the church I "grew up in." In recent years, due to some different beliefs about quite a few things, I have had a hard time visiting my former church. But, thanks be to our God, He did bless us greatly through the Word and Sacrament in that place.

However, I noted room for improvement within my family regarding our growth in practical catholicity. My daughter, who ordinarily receives the Lord's Supper with great joy every week, did not want the bread and wine (juice) on this occasion. At 16 months old, we are imagining that she simply didn't like the different method through which the Sacrament was administered. But, it could be an instinctive struggle with catholicity.
