The Diocese of Little Rock has recently revamped its web presence at DOLR.org. This is a nicely presented site with plenty of helpful and interesting information about the Catholic Church in Arkansas.
The Diocesan boundaries are the Arkansas state boundaries. The Diocese of Little Rock was established on November 28, 1843 with roughly 700 Catholics. Today, the number of Catholics in the Diocese is said to be 107,524.
The Parish Church of St James in Searcy (part of the North Central Deanery of the Diocese) was established a little over twenty years later and we'll be celebrating "100 years of Catholic presence in White County" next week. The parish website is HERE.
