This morning's talk-radio program including a short bit of news regarding a recently proposed government school location in the West area of my city. [The western portion of my city is the really popular place to be, if you like paying escalating prices for less and less real estate. In other words, it is fast-growing and the demographic is rather yuppie-ish.] It is common knowledge that this area is dominated by people who primarily depend on private institutions rather than the government to train their children.
Evidently, some bureaucrat has decided that a big reason that parents send their children to private school rather than to the government system, is that the government has not added any facilities in the midst of the growth area. A government official was reported to have said something to this effect: "Our district is not generating the income that it could in this area."
Now, stealing an idea from another blogger, I will award 8.5 blogger points for a good comment on why this sort of notion might tempt me to scream in frustration. [Hint: I would prefer a comment about the government, rather than my personal struggles with sin which might explain frustrated screams.]
