Law Enforcement Report

I may make these type entries as a weekly installment. A local paper gave a report of court filings in today's edition, which included this phrase regarding a man who had been arrested: he was "charged with possession of more than the legal amount of pseudoephedrine, a class D felony. "

It is a class D felony in the state of Arkansas to possess more than a legal amount of Sudafed (or any other brand of pseudoephedrine). I almost wrote the word "unbelievable" as a response to that statement. Then, I reconsidered. The better word would be "sad."

Then the police report provided this tidbit: "A man reported that another man came to his door and threatened to kill him. The first man said he used to date the second man's daughter, and she has a daughter whom the second man believes is the first man's."

I just thought the wording of that one was quite amusing.
