Family Christmas -

Shona and I are headed to my parents' home to celebrate our first Christmas with Alyssa Grace, our 6 week old daughter. During this season when we celebrate the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ, it is wonderful to have experienced the joy of the birth of our daughter so recently. I think God's people should celebrate the incarnation of our Lord and Savior (his birth, life, death, and resurrection) every day rather than occasionally. However, it is nice to have this opportunity to concentrate in a special way on Christ's entrance into this world. I am thankful for the mercy God has shown me through the work of Christ, and I am thankful for the freedom to celebrate that mercy in this country.
