Reminder

For any readers here who are newcomers, please note that in the archives of this blog, you are very likely to encounter some interesting contradictions of thought. It is a simultaneously cool and uncool thing about blogging that you have a permanent record of what was going on in your head at different points over time. There are some things I enjoy going back and reading, and some things that make me cringe. But overall, the fact of the matter is that we are who we are today because of the cumulative effect of all the various little steps we've taken in our lives.

If anything puzzles you in my archives, shoot me an email and I'll consider offering an explanation.

This blog began nearly six years ago. During that time, I have written quite a variety of things here as you may have already seen in the archives. There have been a number of relatively significant shifts of thought on several topics, and you may discover contradictory sentiments expressed as you browse. Be assured that you are only scratching the surface of the conflicting notions that have found themselves bouncing around in my head over the years. I am sometimes extremely simple and other times extremely complex. I take full responsibility for all that jazz. If you dare to send me a note inquiring about some perplexing jewel in my archives, you will obviously not find me denying that I wrote it. But I might take the time to explain what I meant then and why I wouldn't say the same thing now...or why I would...who knows. Enjoy!

My name is Mike Terrell. I am the husband of Shona and the father of Alyssa, Ella Kathryn, Richmond, and Boyd. I have only recently thought of reviving this blog after a long abandonment. Still pondering whether I have the time and energy...but thinking probably so. We'll see.
