Loving Little Rock

There are loads of reasons to love Arkansas and particularly, Little Rock. One of them I have mentioned before and will no doubt mention in the future: the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. I am not able to attend every performance they offer, but when I do go, it is always an excellent experience. Next weekend, the Masterworks series event will be "Russian Winter." I'm looking forward to hearing the featured pianist, Dmitri Alexeev.

His bio on the ASO's website is impressive, and after next weekend, the first group on this list will of course be the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra: "He has performed with such orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, the five London orchestras, Orchestre de Paris, Israel Philharmonic and the Munich Bavarian Radio Orchestra."
