Wodehouse

As someone who thinks that being a writer would be a dream job (underlying assumption being that this dream involves a society which has no dependence upon reasonable income), I greatly appreciate the writing skills of P.G. Wodehouse, as I have mentioned several times before. In turn, I appreciate other writers who appreciate P.G. Wodehouse, to the point that I would strip the title of "writer" from anyone who failed to appreciate him.

In 2005, an article appeared in FIRST THINGS: A Journal of Religion, Culture, and Public Life which praised Wodehouse highly. The article was very well-written and discussed the context into which Wodehouse issued his masterful writing. There are several quotes from his writing, and I hasten to add that if you are not familiar with Wodehouse, you need to read this article and then immediately order some of his books. And know that I pity you for your ignorance to date.

Here is the article from FIRST THINGS:
God and Bertie Wooster
