A timely and helpful word from a loving and faithful pastor … I announced recently that Father Alvin Kimel had returned to blogging. I was pleased then, and am now truly thankful because I have been freshly reminded of how and why this man’s writing was one of the tools used by God in bringing me home to the Catholic Church.
Today’s post titled, The Injustice of Grace, is excellent. How many times have we been guilty of giving God thanks for His mercy toward us, and yet in the same moment thinking that God could not forgive that evil person John Doe who did that evil thing which simply shouldn’t be forgiven. After all, God is just, and that guy did that terrible thing multiple times and doesn’t seem to be remorseful enough about it. Of course, he says all the right things about regret and all, but just look at him, you can tell that he’s not really sorry enough.
Take some time and read Father Kimel's article (CLICK HERE), and if you are feeling conversational, drop me an email or comment here on my blog. If you'd like to interact with Father Kimel or other priests and scholars, you should venture over to De Cura Animarum as referenced at the end of Father Kimel's post.
