The design of this blog site is not particularly sophisticated as you can see with your own eyes. However, one cool component that I have here is a site traffic monitor which I use to see two things: 1) whether or not I'm getting any visitors at all, and 2) if I am getting visitors, where on the web they come from. I cannot really tell from the reports I get who my visitors are or where they are - though I'm sure those kind of site traffic monitors do exist...I just have little use for that particular sort of reporting.
But the coolest thing to me is just seeing whether people are coming here as a result of finding me on Myspace or Google or another blog, etc.
I have been amused lately by the number of hits I get regularly from people searching Google for "Reasons to become catholic" and "Reasons to not become catholic". Oddly, my blog is a high search result for both of those searches because of THIS POST and THIS POST.
But my amusement is due to the fact that this blog gets so little traffic in general. Literally folks, I am a no-name in the blogging world. This site is generally not "popular" at all with anyone for any reason, but somehow I've managed enough traffic to land me high on the Google list of sites addressing the topic of Reasons to Become Catholic and Reasons to not Become Catholic. I'm beginning to think I should take that seriously and maybe post some relevant thoughts for the topic.
