January 1
What's so special about this particular January 1? Well, of course, it is the sixth Lord's Day of the new year. You may recall celebrating the new year six weeks ago, and you may be wondering why the Dick Clark special is just now happening on the television - six weeks into the new year. I'm not sure what to tell you except that the world is, at times, a bit confused and not quite on the same page as the Church. My advice is to stick with the Church, although I am not at all opposed to staying up until midnight on December 31st and drinking champagne and kissing your wife....not me kissing your wife, but me kissing my wife and you kissing your wife, or your husband, or you know what I mean.... Anyway, again, I wish you a happy new year, though we are now six weeks into it. I hope the first six weeks of your new year have been happy and that the rest of your year will be happy!
