Righteous Path

A wise man recently said, "We live in a time of chaos and disruption in the Church....It is best to labor where God has put us, living in the tension...Let us learn to live with the tension and grow from our suffering, and not skip out of it into a world of disobedience."

Similar sentiments might come from men who also speak of "tragic necessities." Sadly, it seems like such sentiments can sometimes be tied to what apologists might call "false dichotomy." You see, sometimes we call things necessity which are really not necessary.

If we have only two choices: 1) live in the tension of a chaotic and disrupted Church, or 2) skip out to a world of disobedience; then clearly, we have no choice but to accept option 1.

But if it is possible now, in this day, to live righteously and victoriously in the Church while shunning the tensions of chaos and disruption, then let us not toil over whether we ought to be content with chaos or be disobedient. Let us live righteously and victoriously in the Church.
