I'm pleased to announce that I have read a book start-to-finish (253 pages - paperback) in just four days (not reading for the entirety of each day, mind you). I must say that this is a great relief to me because I have from time to time, feared that I suffer from chronic slow-readerness. As it turns out, I can fling that fear out like an unwelcome porpentine. There must be some other explanation for my feet-dragging in the reading department because I now know that I am quite capable of enjoying a good book very quickly.
I hesitate to mention the title since it may lessen the significance of my achievement; this author's books are reputed to be fast-reads anyway.
P.G. Wodehouse's Joy in the Morning, sometimes known as Jeeves in the Morning, is a good book. I recommend it.
