Community ... updated again

Brother Rick Saenz, blogging at Dry Creek Chronicles, has been reading an interesting book by an interesting man.

Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (more on the author)

Mr. Saenz draws out several good quotes and mentions that this is head reeling material.

One quote from Reverend Bonhoeffer: "Our community with one another consists solely in what Christ has done to both of us." And a note from Mr. Saenz: "It is not our spirituality, our piety, our zealousness, our like-mindedness, or anything aside from our redemption in Christ that binds us." READ ON ....

One more quote from Reverend Bonhoeffer: "Our community with one another consists solely in what Christ has done to both of us. This is true not merely at the beginning, as though in the course of time something else were to be added to our community; it remains so for all the future and to all eternity." And another note from Mr. Saenz: "Our community with our brothers will deepen, not because we come to agreement about our spiritual differences, but because more and more our bond in Jesus will come to outweigh the things we differ over."
