A group of 30 residents journeyed to the Texas home of President George W. Bush Monday where they participated in a peaceful protest against the president's support of Israel's plan to relinquish land to Palestinian rule.
The group from a local Baptist Church joined a crowd of nearly one thousand mostly Baptist protesters from several states who believe the president's support could unfairly influence Israel's decision, a decision they believe goes against biblical teaching.
The protesters convened at Tonkawa Falls RV park in Crawford.
"We're not a bunch of radicals," said one of the Baptist protesters.
"I have a fear that if America turns its back on Israel, that God will lift his blessing from America," another Baptist protester said, holding his Bible imprinted with a sticker of an American flag surrounded by the words "God Bless America."
"I believe that the president hasn't studied the Bible on this issue," Andy Blythe, 15, said.

For the record, I commend young Andy's generosity in implying that there are issues on which President Bush has studied the Bible.
