Banging Head

Living way "out" in the country can mean some knot-in-stomach responses to situations which were no big deal in the city. When I realized that I had locked us out of the house...again, my first temptation was to bang my head against the wall for a while. Then, the stomach-knot came as I realized that I didn't have a quick and easy solution like last time. We finally got sorted out, but we'll be doing the hidden key thing soon. In fact, if you're the sort of person that likes to enter a another person's home uninvited, you should come by; it will be like easter-egg hunting since I plan to hide quite a few keys.

One interesting benefit to being locked out today is that we were able to see some good neighbors that we hadn't planned on seeing today. Some of the family was in the yard, and nearby was a loose goat. It seems that the goat needed to get out of the pen for some fresh air. I guess I haven't hung out with many goats. In that short time, I learned an important fact. If you have a phobia of biggish animals attempting to head-butt you in the kidneys, you should not play with goats.
