Orientation

Shortly after the close of one “chapter” on Friday, today brought a fresh start with a great company. The commercial lighting business is completely new to me, so there will be rather a large number of things that I will need to learn in order to be an asset to my new employer. At the moment, as I suppose is the case with most new jobs, I am gathering various pieces of the puzzle and eventually the big picture will become clearer. I am very happy, and I anticipate a very good experience overall.

For those of you in the habit of praying for my family, please give thanks to God for many good providences and the help of His Spirit in keeping me from being totally overwhelmed in the midst of a house move, job change, wife’s pregnancy, and a 13 month old learning to walk. In our Father’s wonderful mercy, I continue to see that I am certainly blessed rather than burdened by these things.

Full Disclosure: My boss is a very close friend and he reads this blog, so I’ll be refraining from revealing all of the horrid stories of how I am treated at work.
