"For whatever reason, "Federal Vision" advocates and critics have managed to talk past one another on repeated occasions. Whether this is due to variant theological vocabularies and methodologies, different pastoral concerns and emphases, or deep, irreconcilable theological paradigms still remains to be seen, though I suspect there is more common ground than might appear to an outside observer. I suppose the historical judges in this controversy have yet to be born."
