It's good to be reminded occasionally that every time I run into a blog or comment that I disagree with, I don't have to step in and right everyone's wrongs.
First of all, I'm not always right about everything (contrary to what you may have previously thought). Secondly, sometimes encouragement is the order of the day for a "weaker" brother. Getting all riled up at every error can hinder my ability to see what is actually needed. Thirdly, just because it is easy to speak up online and offer correction doesn't mean that I'm the one who should be stepping in. There are too many goofballs "out there" (like me) who have access to a platform such as this and express all sorts of odd notions. I am not the internet-theological-error-police, I need to learn when to just click that little "X" in the upper right corner of the screen and just walk away.
I have a feeling some of you set that patient pattern for me right here on this journal. As much as you'd like to click on "Comment" and kick me in the pants, you quietly move along trusting that God will lead us all into His truth.
I really enjoy this blogging stuff. In case any of you do not presently have a weblog and are considering starting one, I do recommend it, but I should note that journaling in a notebook or even just on your computer (rather than online) is probably just as enjoyable.
