I was glad when they said unto me -

Let us go into the house of the Lord (Psalm 122:1). We had a good Lord's Day yesterday. As I recently heard someone say, no single Lord's Day is really better than another, but humanly speaking, yesterday was among the most enjoyable Lord's Days we have had together. Worshiping God with His people in His house is always a great pleasure. Sharing the remainder of the day with His people in good fellowship without a buzz of worldly distractions is not so common among the modern church. It is such a blessing to observe and enjoy the warmth of Christian hospitality which is natural for those who love the Lord. The Lord's Day should be a true balm to our souls each and every week, an oasis from the spiritual warfare we engage in throughout the other six days of the week.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
