New Year's Eve -

The Terrell family has had an eventful year, to put it mildly. We rejoice in God's continued blessings upon us and pray that He would continue to bless us as we aspire to holiness through the power of His Holy Spirit. To sum up 2003 briefly, we evolved from being a two-income rural Kentucky family to now being city-dwelling Arkansans with a wonderful daughter keeping Mom home as a full-time homemaker. Since January, Shona and I quit our jobs in Kentucky and sold our first home, also leaving our local church there; then moved to Arkansas, bought our second home, and I took a banking job in Little Rock; we joined a local church here and Alyssa was born.

During the year, our most significant change aside from the birth of our first child, was that we deliberated long and carefully over the Scriptures and have become presbyterians. Formerly having been committed reformed baptists, this was not a difficult transition, but has involved what we consider to be relatively significant changes in our understanding of God's covenants with His people. We are very, very thankful that God has granted such mercy to us.

All of the glory goes to God alone as we seek to continue toward the goal of being conformed to the image of Christ, reforming our understanding when God provides increasing light through His Word.
